The skin care industry for men has been booming because men are realizing that the products that women have used for decades to protect and enhance their complexions really do make a difference.
The number one thing you can do to maintain younger looking skin is to wear sunscreen on a daily basis.
Preventing skin cancer is one reason to wear sunscreen, but there are more. The sun creates Rosacea, and brown “age” spots on your face and hands. Rosacea is a common skin condition Rosacea Manthat is an excessive blood vessel response to dilating stimulates – such as caffeine, foods, alcohol.

Bags and dark circles under your eyes age you dramatically and get worse as you age. Preventative measures include plenty of sleep, sleep on your back, limit your alcohol consumption and ingest very little salt (water Man with bags under his eyesretention). Drink lots of fluids, and buy a night eye cream that has Vitamin K and retinol in it. You can do quick pre-meeting damage control by lying down for 15 minutes with a cold damp caffeinated tea bags on each eye.

At the risk of offending my more luxury based readers, here is some simple, affordable advise.
Dove soap has expanded into a full men’s line. The basic premise is that you don’t need to strip your skin’s natural lubricants to be clean.
Lubriderm with SPF. So hopefully you have signed up for daily moisturizer with sunscreen. This Lubriderm with SPF 15 works great, is inexpensive and can be easily found while grocery shopping.
Olay. If you need a rock bottom priced anti-aging solution, Olay Total Effects 3 part set that includes a cleanser, an SPF lotion and a night cream. Yes it’s marketed to women, but everything I’ve read suggest that it works great for a fraction of the price. This set is about $37. Just keep it hidden when she comes over, at least for the first time. 🙂
If you are willing to pay more, I have to put in a plug for Clinique. I use it myself, and I think they work hard in R&D for the money they charge. I like the packaging, the scents, and am told the men’s products are excellent.
